APERAK
Application error and acknowledgement message.

B2B

Business documents going from Business-to-Business.

B2C
Business documents going from Business-to-Consumer.

CONTRL
CONTRL is a message that is acknowledging or rejecting a EDIFACT message on a syntactical level.

CRM
Customer Relationship Management. A CRM (system) is essentially a database and set of utilities designed to contain, manipulate and server customer data with an emphasis on using that customer data to enable marketing and sales of products or services.

EAI
Enterprise Application Integration, EAI, is a term for the process of integrating various computer systems with one another so that information can be exchanged between them automatically.

EDI
Electronic data interchange (EDI) is the structured transmission of data between organizations by electronic means. It is used to transfer electronic documents or business data from one computer system to another computer system, i.e. from one trading partner to another trading partner without human intervention.

EDIFACT
EDIFACT stands for "Electronic Data Interchange For Administration, Commerce and Transport" and is a standard way to textually describe information for communication between separate computer systems.

FTP
File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a standard network protocol used to copy a file from one host to another over a TCP/IP-based network, such as the Internet.

GUI
Graphical User Interface:  a user interface based on graphics (icons and pictures and menus) instead of text.

MSCONS
(Metered services consumption report): is a communication of metering data between trading parties or their agents.

x400
X.400 is a way of sending /receiving messages. The protocol can be compared with e-mail, but it has a better way of reporting delivery statuses back to the sender.

XML
Extensible Markup Language (XML) is a flexible way of creating business documents that may be exchanged electronically. See recomondation at W3C (http://www.w3.org/)
