What is BankID?
BankID is a bank-issued electronic identification allowing companies, organizations and banks to identify and enter into agreements with individuals on the Internet. BankID can be compared to physical credentials such as passports and driving licenses.
Benefits of using BankID
All BankID can be used in the same way no matter which bank that issued it. Sweden, Norway and Finland are examples of countries that accept bank-issued e-ID for identification with authorities. BankID is free of charge to the user.
